Boulder City, NV
Keeping the lights on for residents and businesses in the regional Southwest requires reliable energy sources. Utility providers are rapidly expanding those sources by adding renewable energy infrastructure.
In Boulder City, Nevada, Tri-State installed 588 drilled helical piles to install one of Nevada’s largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) banks. This helical field will secure 306 Megapack BESS containers and 79 MV transformers for the Boulder Solar project – an estimated 150 megawatt solar array.
Renewable energy support
With over 70 years in drilling innovation, Tri-State brings a proven foundation of experience to accelerate renewable energy’s multiplication
Helical anchors
Tri-State installs helical anchors for applications like the Nevada Boulder Solar project to withstand the compression tensile and lateral forces common in the dynamic Nevada desert landscape
Pre-drilling
Tri-State collaborates with foundation manufacturers to ensure anchoring structures are installed safely in any setting, including environments others aren’t able to penetrate
Micro piles
Tri-State utilizes micro piles for permanent foundations that mitigate excavation and improve outcomes in rocky and other types of challenging ground composition, accommodating high load requirements in a variety of conditions
