Job Description

Responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all operations-related activities of the company. Assist president and executive management team (EMT) in determining the strategic direction of the organization. Guide all activities by the organization’s strategic direction, as determined by EMT.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides key interface, oversight and support of Safety/ Shop/ PMs / Crew Leaders including advising, resourcing, training and customer relations.
  • Develops, empowers and holds accountable department employees in achieving business results.
  • Participates as part of the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel.
  • Provides operational input to sales process by assisting with estimates, bid review and prioritizing opportunities.
  • Responsible for overseeing effective utilization, acquisition and disposition of equipment.
  • Provides cost control for Field/Shop operations.
  • Works with department employees, field employees and customers to anticipate, analyze, diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS in Business, Construction Management or related field
  • Thorough understanding of a construction company’s operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated leadership capacity
  • Ability to manage time and priorities
  • High level of integrity
  • PC proficiency

Working conditions

  • Work in the corporate office setting with occasional trips to the field.
  • This position requires the employee to sit or stand and is computer intensive

Salary is commensurate with experience.
